NOTES:

The Dodgers have been dethroned. The Indians are on a historic tear right now. They have won NINETEEN STRAIGHT GAMES and if they win tonight, they will become the 7th team in MLB history with a win streak of at least 20 games. They would become the first team to do so since 2002, when the Oakland Athletics won 20 straight games. The Indians are the best team in baseball right now and no one can argue that. The Dodgers are in real trouble and have to figure things out if they want to have a chance to make a run in the playoffs.

The Washington Nationals clinched the NL East, which is a surprise to no one. The NL East is the worst division in baseball and it was the Nationals’ division from start to finish. The Houston Astros are once again cold as they have lost four straight games coming into tonight. The Rockies are once again looking like the team from the start of the season. They have won five straight games and seven of their last ten. Nolan Arenado and Charlie Blackmon are both in contention for the MVP award as they are having superb seasons.

The Yankees are staying close to the Red Sox in the race for the AL East. I think the Red Sox will finish on top, but it will be interesting to watch as the season winds down. Aaron Judge‘s average has obviously dipped, but he is still crushing baseballs. He and Gary Sanchez are becoming one of the most, if not the most, feared power hitting duos in all of baseball. The Yankees should secure a playoff spot, whether it be a Wild Card spot or the division crown.

The chase for the second AL Wild Card spot will be a ton of fun to watch. The teams contending for that second spot are not very good in my opinion, but it is a tight race. The Twins currently have a one game lead over the Angels for the second spot, but there are seven teams within four games of each other that will be fighting for that spot.
